FAQ

- How long does it typically take for a client to get organized?
It depends. If your problem is a very long-standing one, or your home is very large with many possessions, it will take longer. If you have a small space but have difficulty keeping it organized, we can usually solve the problem quickly with storage solutions and a simple game plan. - Are you a Professional Organizer and are you trained?
Yes, I am a member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) and I work completely within the professional and ethical guidelines of that organization. I completed an intensive 5-day training course from Marla Dee of Clear & Simple and am certified in the clear & SIMPLE™ systems of SEE IT, MAP IT, DO IT and S.T.A.C.K.S. - I'm sure I'll learn a lot by hiring a professional organizer, but I'm worried about what happens after you leave. Do you provide follow-up maintenance?
Definitely. We will put an effective organizational system in place that you can work with easily. However, because life is always changing, there may be times when you feel a need to "tweak" the system or want to spot potential trouble before it becomes a problem. We can do follow-up maintenance on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or yearly basis. - I’m afraid of throwing things away, and I think that professional organizers like to make a “clean sweep of things”. Do I have to throw things away?
We will never ask you to throw anything away that is important to you. Because you fear that you might regret discarding something, we can always take this in stages, and throw nothing away until you’re absolutely comfortable with letting it go. Sometimes this means that we have to find more storage space, although most clients realize that they are holding on to more items than they will ever need. - Will you do the work, or will you just tell me how to do it?
That’s up to you. After an initial assessment of your space we can give you a plan to follow or you can hire us. We will need you on hand however to answer questions and make decisions during certain stages of the process.
